Default Civic auto to manual conversion!!!

I was wondering what is needed to convert my 97 Civic HX from auto to manual? Also, is there custom things that have to be done? For those that have done this already, how does your car drive? Does it drive like it was originally manual? I am thinking of converting my Civic to manual but wouldnt like to get into deep sh*t like custumising or cutting anything. I would really appreciated if you guys could help me out. THANKS!!!

I'm very lazy so I would just sell my car and buy a stock manual.

But if you insist on your venture, this might help:

well number one its gonna take up some of your time but its not impossible... i jsut completed mine the other day in my 97 ex...you will need the pedals, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, lines(or u can buy a line and bend it yourself), d series tranny, shift linkage, manual starter w/bolts, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts. u can use your automatic axles. you can use your automatic ecu too but the car idles funny. u need the mount for the front of the trany (3 17mm) and the bracket from a 96-00 civic for the top of the tranny......oh yea and u have to do a little cuttin to get the shift linkage to fit but its REALLY easy.......all in all i like the way my car drives now...BIG improvement from the auto tranny ...feel free to ask me if u have any questions boriboy419 on aim...

Very hard to make it drive like it came that way.

It takes a lot of work and some fabrication. If your car is stock I highly suggest selling it and getting a manual.

Much less headache.

err....? Thats like saying doing a swap is hard to make the car drive like it came. Only difference with a swap then stock is the power difference but the car will still drive straight and not have any problems.

^^ I only say that because the few conversons I've driven didn't feel right. But maybe they were done poorly.
