question regarding my rear conversion
i'm getting ready to do a rear disc conversion on my ek9 dx . i bought the conversion kit from import auto salvage off from a 00 civic si, didn't have a chance to open the package until yesterday, i foud that the kit has e-brake cables and the brake lines were cut and i'm not sure about if i'm right or not. and the bushings on the axle has cracks on it. do i have to replace the bushhings? also i got confused with the terms i have been seeing, are brake hose and brake line the same thing? also is it possible to just do a hub conversion insteading of swapping out the entire axel? any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks.
thanks.
just swap the whole arm and get some stainless steel brake lines/hoses same difference. if you mean the trailing arm bushing, id say yeah while it is out change it. cause when those things start to sqeek its annoying

Yes, they are the same thing. The e-brake cables are the other things on there. Just get steel braided brake lines for a 99-00 Si. The e-brake cables are a direct bolt up to your hatch too.

Im curious as to how much you picked up the rear swap for... this is something i have been thinking about doing.
hi sorry for the late reply, i got mine from importautosalvage for 300 bucks shipped. i'll post some pics soon to show the conditions of the conversion kit. thanks.

why would you want to do a hub conversion? if it's just a rear brake conversion, then you don't need to. not to mention,
1. there are no axles in the rear.
2. your civic and the 00 civic share the same axle size.

i'm confused now the kit i got from importautosalve.com is the one in figure f, the whole thing. so there are ways to get around this instead of swapping out the whole thing that the guy's holding on to? thanks.
lol after reading that i guess it would be much easier to swap out the trailing arms instead of just the hubs. http://img2.freeimagehosting.n...9.jpg
do i need to replace that also, or just the bushings? thanks
