Default Loss of power?

Loss of power?
Hey Guys .. I wonder if you guys can help me out ...

This morning on my way to work, I was making a 90 degree left turn .. in first gear, as I was coming out of the turn I wasn't flooring it completely, but I had the gas almost mashed .. well all of a sudden my car .. like loses power?! As if the gas was cut-off ... it just didn't want to accelerate anymore. As soon as I left of the gas and I was done turning I didn't have any problems.

This same thing happened to me during out auto-x event last month, I was going around a big sweeper corner in 2nd gear and my car just wouldn't accelerate more after 4k rpm ... on one run.

I at first thought it might have something to do with gas, during that auto-x event I as really low on gas. So I had figured maybe my car was being starved of gas going around that corner. Yet this morning, when it occured, I had a full tank of gas.

My car currently has 115k on this clutch, which I am hoping gets changed next week. (Waiting for JUN to send me my damn flywheel) My axles will also be replaced at the same time, since I can hear the tell-tell signs of ticking .. which means that they are going.

I don't think its a clutch problem, if my clutch was slipping, my RPM's would shoot straight up.

Any ideas?? Thanks guys!

I was thinking tank-slapping fuel starvation all the way until you mentioned a full tank.
Oh well, next on the list for sudden, random behavior such as this is ignition.
Timing, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, coil, igniter, etc...

Hmmm ... interesting. Do you guys think it could be a TPS sensor going on the fritz? Or how about my fuel pump? hmmm. The wires are new, and the cap and rotor were changed not too long ago.

Thanks guys ..

theres no reason that it would happen only around a sharp left turn though. both times its happend to him its been a sharp left.

This morning, I wasn't going that fast around the corner ... at all. So I don't think it was oil starvation ... all good ideas though ... I will check the wires and stuff when I get home today. I just hate it when you can't pin-point problems heh.

Now .. the oil starvation idea is a good one, especially when I checked my oil level on Friday ... and I don't even want to tell you guys on how low it was. I am really good at changing my oil every 3k miles ... so, this could be a possibility. I filled the car up with oil, yet I haven't tried to reproduce the problem yet ... (I was able to do it at will just about last Friday.)

My roommate also wonder if a bad motor mount could be causing this problem? What do you guys think?
