Should I just scrap the car and get another, or send it in to fix the cancer???

I'm thinking of getting the rust taken care of, but is it seriously worth it? I look at it this way: If i'm going to fix the rust i am also going to have to replace the whole front end (hood, fenders, bumper) and get it resprayed. In the pics the car is very dirty. I'll take some after it is cleaner. The rust does go deep into the wheel well and I'm pretty sure I will have to cut and weld.
Seeing it, I feel it'll cost more than it's worth. What do you guys recommend? Here are some pics of it after a wash. Cell phone pics

Well it certainly is going to be a whole lot of work. a WHOLE LOT. If you are into auto restoration I would say go for it, but you are going to need a welder, scrap metal, access to painting and color finishing supplies and a whole bunch of spare time.
If you were planning on sending it out to get the work done professionally you could probably buy another car for what they would charge you.

That's what I was thinking.
I got about 4K saved, but I was holding it to buy a newer car within the next few months. Then I got to thinking 'Do I really want to give up my car and start making payments on another car when my car is paid for and running perfectly fine?'
My uncle restores cars and knows a lot of guys in the body shop business. He has access to a lot of materials, but then I have to buy another car while this one gets fixed. What I had planned to do was take off the side moldings, replace the front bumper, fenders, hood, rear bumper, fix all the rust and sand it all down and get a decent simple respray. Been thinking about Maaco, because it's just my daily, and keep it until I have enough to buy the newer car I want cash. You know?
If you had to quote me a price to fix just the rust. How much would you say?
I just want to get rid of the rust and I can do the sanding and bondo/filler/primer myself and send it to a shop to get sprayed a black. Just the body panels and door jams. Not the engine bay. What do you think?

For good job to fix that quarter you looking at bout $1000 shop job. id just go to a junk yard and buy a rust freee quater and cut and weld it in. The only problem is that a lot of shops dont like to do restor cause they get a quote and then wen ther doing the job it turns out its worse than they thought and then they got a pissed off cutomer cause the job coasted 1500 more than at they were quoted. I dont know wat kind of body working skills you have but if you dont have that much i wouldnt touch it youll get in over your head. But if you got someone that ll do it cheap id have it fixed. Also another question how much are you going to spend on the car to fix it now how much would it be to find another car like it thats rust free. A lota time you could just sell the car and find a rust free one for a few hundred more and save your self the headach of all that work. Also if you need to sell the car for any reason are you ever going to see any of that money that you dumped into it. And If you did the work yourself (as an untrained body guy) no offense but if it wasnt done by a pro i wouldnt touch it. THers a million and one resons why you shouldnt fix it, just tlike thers a million and one resons y you shouldnt get married but people still do it so its up to you.
Yeah, your right. I think i'm just going to try and sell it and pick up another sedan or an integra sedan. Thanks for taking the time to check it out also
