Default NEED HELP WITH EG CLUSTER!!!!

how do you roll back mileage on EG clusters? this is how far i got:

i cant figure out how to get the black face trim to clear the trip reset button.

Thats a little rubber cap, just pull straight out on it gently. It may be stubborn but just keep pulling with more force, gently. It will come free.

so i see 3 screws in the back of the speed O. will these release the speed O fro the cluster?

last question, how do you rewind it back fast? im turning the gear by hand and man it take forever.

Because it's against the law to roll back your odometer unless it's done by an authorized party for an authorized reason.

Props to Eran!!! Keep it legit! Take down what was on the car, and what was on the motor/is on the new motor, get a calculator, and do the math! You get caught messin with the Odometer, you are in a deep pile of a smelly "mud like" substance!

I dont think they track mileage on cars older than X number of years. In WA State I want to say its 10 years. I've never had to do the odometer statement when transfering ownership of any of my cars (all older than 10 years).

so basically if the only cluster this guy could find to swap into his car, has way more miles on it than his car, you guys are tellin him to eat ****? how do we know if hes doing a cluster swap, we dont no one asked, hes just being told to eat ****. good ol h-t helpful as always. good luck with your cluster fix.

They're not telling him to eat ****, they're telling him to do some basic adding or subtracting.
