and ducati would be the last company I'd buy a motard from. They'll over complicate a machine that's supposed to be simple

What's complicated about it? Really.

They're about $11k and $13k for the S model. They're in pre-production now so they should be hitting the streets in the next 2 or 3 months methinks.

Sweet bike but I think it's kind of pointless to make a more street oriented motard style bike and still put a small *** gas tank on it.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Eh, as long as it has a gas gauge and around 80 miles of range I'll be happy. Of course, there are a few bikes are in line before this one for me this summer...

It certainly has some lovely bits... She looks a little tubier than the aprilia, but a bigger engine is nice. to me this would be the perfect Mexico trip motorcycle. But for performance I will stick with the 550 Aprilia.
Hmmmm... I wonder how this Duck would be if I stuck a testastretta engine in it

Monster S4RS > Hypermotard > Sportbikes
Problem is, an S4RS new is the same $$ as a 1098, and used they're still $12-13k
I want one soooo bad

I have been in absolute lust for that bike since the day I first saw it. I just know know how I would warm up to the idea of jumping something on my Ducati. If I had a little more expendable income I would consider one, but at this point I think I would still be more apt to buying an Aprilia 550.
indeed... slightly different mind sets. I think of the duck is slightly more slanted towards the dual purpose scene, while the ape is race oriented

I rode a brand new S4RS last season...nice bike but I wasn't really impressed.
