Default Help with Auto to Manual conversion

Is there anyone in this forum from Northern Cali who is experienced and can assist me in doing the Auto to Manual conversion on my 96 Accord? I'm sure the price to pay for the extra muscle will be alot cheaper than paying $6000 the shop quoted me. Thx

WHOA....6 grand for the swap?? No way! Shouldn't cost much more than $1,000 if that.

That shop is trying to rip you hard. Don't go to them, find someone else or do it yourself.

as i stated in another post you had awhile back. do it yourself or find someone. there are tons of guys out in cali that do this stuff, i can't imagine you not finding anyone to assist you. pay them a lil for their help and knowledge and i am sure you'd be stressless compared to lossing 6 grand. hell for 6 grand, that betta come with a turbo.

Thanks Flight50 for your previous statement but it's actually hard to find good help without going to the shop and I have a Haynes book for my car, but I'm not that technical and I don't have a garage to take my time and work on it. Alot of people are scared to help others because living in the big city, they think they're going to get robbed, home burglarized or their girlfriend or wife might get raped. Almost every night there's a murder or sexual assault. ****, people will post an item for sale on Craigslist, arrange for you to come pick up the item and rob you in the process.

lol. yeah its not nice to thread jack dude. but hondaspeedracer, check this out. first off, to do the swap, the haynes is the wrong book. you need at least the chilton's or at best the helms. the helms is the dealer ship manual. about a 100 dollar book but worth it. you also can download the pdf version like i did. its missing a few pages so then you an refer to the haynes. also, i live in apartments and i didn't have a place. so i rented a storage unit at public storage and did mine.
