How do you remove this? Please help
2002 Accord LX
I'm trying to run a wire for an amp and want to go through an existing hole in the firewall, but can't figure out how to remove this fuse box (there is a nice big chunk of wires going through underneath and I want to run the wire with the other wires)
Or should I drill through the firewall? If so, where is the best place
Thanks for the help

i wouldnt run my amp power cable through that hole, too many important wires. There are some empty gromets that can be popped off and the wire can be run through those, those are on the drivers side.
out of curiousity, what size wire are you looking to run? i have 1/0 runing in my 00 coupe, with no problems, and thats through a stock rubber grommet
Edit for pics:
This is where i put it,
Obveously this pic doesnt help much, but this hole is just to the left of this next pic, and as you can see its right at the top, fairly easy to acsess. BTW this is in a 6th gen v6.

i can take some better pics for you tomorrow night if you wish, but these should give you an idea of where to look.

I know on the V6 5th gens there's a hole in the firewall towards the bottom. If you get in your passenger side and kind of get behind the center console and pull back the carpet, you'll see the little fabric protector covering the grommet. From another viewpoint, it's like right above where your exhaust should be running. But like I said, that's how it is on my V6, should be the same on the 4 cylinders though. This is the hole I ran my fog light wires through.

You know, the grommet is supposed to be installed in the firewall, not just on the wire. The idea is that the rubber grommet will sheild the wire from the bare metal of the firewall, and prevent a possible short due to the wire fraying on an exposed edge. The way you have the wire installed in that picture, you may as well drill a hole anywhere and sticka wire through, because there is no protection the way you have it installed

That was right after the install, and since then the gromet has been fixed and is installed properlly
but thanks for your concerns, but did you also notice the fuse within 12 inches of the battery? Probably not

i just recently ran into this problem with my 5th gen there is a grommet with about 3 small wires on the far left side of the upper passenger floor (you will probably have to pul back some of the carpet to see it.) that i found. than i just fed it up to where my friend could grab it and the job was done.
even though you have an 02 i hope this helps....just keep looking and you are bound to find one that does not require the removal of components.
