Weights and Measures
Stock Wheels vs. Dem Volk CE28 Thangs.
specs:
Me - 5'10", 157.4 lbs. - Athletic Build, likes to go Snowboarding and Golfing in his spare time.
Stockers - 17"x 7", 44.6lbs - Falken Azenis 215/45/17 - Suitable as a AutoX wheel. You won't catch me rockin these out in public.
Volk CE28n's - 17"x 7.5", 34.8 - Falken Azenis 235/40/17 - I'll teach ya how ta stunt!
Thats a reduction in 9.8lbs per wheel, almost 40lbs in all.
Maybe I should use these as my AutoX wheels after all.

That's why lighter wheels really do matter.. not just to look like a baller

Don't forget the 30lbs of air!!!
Don't forget the 30lbs of air!!!
GREAT POST!
I went from stock 17" Si wheels on OEM Michelins 215/45/17 45.5 lbs
TO
17" A-TECH Final Speed Erasers with 215/45/17 Kumho SPT's 40.5 lbs
TO
17x7.5" VOLK CE28N's with 215/40/17 Yokohama AVS 100's 36.5 lbs
I would have thought your Falken Azenis are much heavier then my Yoko's, but it might be one of our scales might be a little off or I have more balancing weights on my wheels. Who knows..
I will be using my Volks for autocrossing as soon as I get Azenis mounted up. I think that is the way to go
By the way, any rubbing with the 235/45/17 Azenis? Thanks

Thanks, just what I needed to know. If you end up autocrossing the CE's let me know if you have any rubbing issues with the 225's.
Tires in your living room; sounds like me too
Thanks again.

Any reason you bumped a month old thread with a worthless post? What is that supposed to mean anyway? What value did you add to this thread today?

Nice, a two day event. Thats going to be fun. Yeah, let me know how those 225's do. I still have plenty of tread on the Yoko's, but can't wait to switch to Azenis after I decide what size.
