I was wondering if the auto tranny from my 97 Civic HX is the same as any other 96-00 SOHC tranny? I was told that supposably my tranny is the only tranny that is different from any other SOHC and that no other SOHC tranny would fit my car. Is this true? I would really appreciated if you guys could help me out. THANKS!!!

i'm pretty sure that all other sohc tranny's will bolt up to your motor. the only diff. in the other tranny's is the gear ratio. if i were you i would get the ex/si tranny for shorter gears

 

So they are the same? because when purchasing a tranny they told me that supposably not the same and that I had to get the HX tranny since its a CVT tranny or something like that. What does that mean?
