Default Painting valve cover.

I'm planning on painting my valve cover when I paint the inner paint of my rear hatch. I'm painting them both r81 Milano Red. Do I need to do anything special since the valve cover gets so hot? Thanks.

I did my valve cover with Duplicolor engine enamel. I didn't sand, scuff, primer or anything. All I did was spray it on and it looks pretty nice.

I'm not talking about of a can. I'm talking out of the gun w/ PPG milano red, etc. I don't know the technical terms for the paint. Thanks anyway.

Painted mine about 2 years ago. Still look as good as the day I put them on. Didn't use anything special. PPG base&clear

No powdercoat, I want it smooth as the paint on the exterior.

You can get it smmoth with powdercoating. Much easier and nicer looking with a base/clear
