just wondering if its going to affect the engine or overall lifespan of the engine if i increase output whilst retaining stock input. also, does using an after market sri increase chances for contaminants to enter intake vice stock intake??

 

clean the air filter when it gets dirty or replace it,wth would an exhaust system affect the stock intake???your ok with that combo man

 

yeah im kind of going with the each action has an opposite reaction philosophy. dont know much as to whether the intake would have to be upgraded along with exhaust. thanks though for the input!

 

both mods allow more air to flow through the motor..

one frees up airflow coming out of the motor, the other going in.

either mod will increase total air in and out of the motor... both will increase it slightly more.

 

If you have a intake and exhaust combo, you will notice better performance with inproved air flow. Plus, the intake is cheaper compared to the exhaust systems.
