Default My First Paint Project EJ1!! PICS** Electron Blue Pearl hotness!

**************UPDATE PAGE 3**************

Started my first paint project this month and im just about done! Today is the final buffing. Thanks to my boy Alltech_ej1 for the donar car and to my partner Octavio for the help. Comments welcome
starting the body work.... this car had total of 3 different paint jobs i had to sand down thru!

after tons of sanding and a lil plastic here and there.. taped up and ready for primer!

first coat of primer

blocked it and hit it again along with door jams

all blocked and ready for paint

hit the door jams first... *NOTE* color looks purple in my phone camera pics

cleaned up the over spray and sealed the car.. ready for base

base

Thanks to my teach Ramiro for laying down the clear with his baller gun!

Now you can see the acutal color in these pics

more pics to come!! wet sand and buffing will be complete today...

Why would you take off the mirrors then leave the rest of the exterior door trim on? It takes about 45 seconds and won't leave a tape line that'll start chipping/peeling in 2 weeks.

The trim you're talking about also makes contact with the paint, and it appears that you just taped it off. When you take that molding off there will be an unpainted section underneath leaving a hard line that will start to chip or peel in the near future.
