Default Speed shifting question...

So I have the whole speed shifting thing down pretty well, I have a fully stock tranny, clutch, flywheel, everything tranny related. Now my concern is that sometimes when I speed shift to second and it chirps the gears will grind sometimes. I'll even pay extra attention to my clutch timing but it still grinds sometimes. My car also has 175K. Thanks

You are an idiot and your car is slow, quit giving us all a bad name.

You will eventually be out of a car. Keep it up.

Keep this up and you will blow your transmission. End of story.

That's your transmission telling you not to do that . If you really want to shift like this you will need to beef up your clutch and rebuild your trans. If you want to keep your trans in one piece, don't even consider doing this anymore. Just my 2 cents.

My 5th gear grinds everytime without fail due to some idiot pulling this crap before selling it to me.

I wouldn't "power shift" as its going to cause you some real headaches if you're staying with that tranny.

Well, he's just talking about "speed shifting". A worn rear torque mount can caused missed 2nd shifts. Also, worn synchros in general will limit shifting speed.

Instead of just bashing, why don't you guys try to give an answer instead of flaming the dude. If you think that's the problem(him beating on his car), then tell him so in a polite way.

Guys like you make Honda-Tech look bad.

"speed shifting" is what is causing his problems, and everything you just mentioned as well. And if he had posted that this problem arose on "track day" or at auto-x then I would be more than willing to help in a "nice" way.

Its people like this out on the street that are giving the rest of us a bad name.
