Default Drag Radials + HX rims are here, have a few questions, need help!

Well thanks to your input I ordered the BFG G Force Drag Radials to be mounted on HX rims. I still have a few questions TIA.

1) Is there any risk to breaking my axles, which are stock units?
2) What is a good launch RPM for these things, the place where we run is just a regular road, no kind of special surface.
3) What PSI should these be inflated to? I think I'm going to start at 25 psi, but would apprecate guidance...
4) Do you have to "break" them in?

I'm going to be driving around on these things this weekend to see what its like, should be cool

1) little if any risk to the axles. You have enough HP to overcome the drag radials.
2) 4500-5000 is a good starting point
3) 16-18 psi AT THE TRACK!!!!!!!!!
4) They are not autox tires, therefore heat cycling is not needed.

You can overheat the DR's during burnout process. Testing AT THE TRACK!!!!!! will yield what works for you.

Run 35-38 psi when driving around normally on BFG DR's

I have 225/50/15's on my 86 TA. The GForce DR's are a little softer than regular DR's. They are more setup for FWD but the gearing advantage I gained worked well on the WAY underpowered Trans Am.

Don't expect to get more than 7-10k miles on those tires daily driven. But I'm guessing you're only using it as a track tire?

Thanks forthe info, keep it coming

Yep track/strip only. I'm daily drving them this weekend though.

So, could I also use these for Auto X? or would that be a no-no.

Uh, they're called DRAG RADIALS. And plus, you'll need two more for the rears.
