Compairing a turbo b18b to a Turbo b16 USDM
Hello im debating what to do with my engine... I have 5g's to spend and i plan on dumping it all into the motor. I wanted to get a b16 but i figured it has high compression wouldnt be good for a turbo... Then a b18b came into mind.. Im not sure what numbers i could get with stock internal's and a t3/t4 (maybe ball bearing) and 10psi race and 6 daily. Also i was thinking about a ground up build up on a d16y8 with pistons rods etc.. what would be the best bet i know the dohc has the pull.. Thanx!

go with the B18b. you have more displacement to play with. I'm boosting a b16 right now and I kind of wish i had a bigger block because I would be going faster witht he same amount of boost. the LS probably puts about the same power as the B16 but since you have the later option of going LS vtec, i would think the LS could be better.
