Default Type R steering wheel

I want to have a red Honda emblem on my steering wheel to match my outside emblems. I have held the JDM Momo Type R wheel, and though nice, not worth the $500+. In some ways I like my wheel better. Anyway, what is the best way to change the emblem to red? I have seen someone selling a decal to cover the black, but I can't find it anymore, but I have seen this mod in person and it looks good for about a day, then it gets noticeable that the red part is dull in comparison to the rest, which gives it away. What about switching the airbags with a JDM (Yes, and swapping the airbag charge)? Or is it possible to just switch the airbag cover? What about popping off the emblem and sticking on a rear emblem (is it the same size?) I am not into passing my car off as a Type R, which is most certainly not, but I like the red emblems and I just want to make all my emblems match without having to spend $500 on a steering wheel. Any help? Thanks.

i just bought the typeR steering wheel(i don't like fake shat) but the srs airbag plug for the type r is totally different then the type S. Your not turnig your typeS into a type r with those badges your just basicly turning it into what it originally is... a honda type S. You can buy the steering wheel on ebay for 400.

I don't want to spend that much on a wheel. How about someone answering my questions? Thanks.

if your spending 500 on that wheel then your getting ripped off. i got mine for 389 shipped on ebay. talked the guy into selling it for 360 and 20 bucks shipped.

Okay, this is simple as I can make it, I do not want the Momo wheel. Throw that out of your mind. I simply want to change the black emblem to red on my current wheel. That is all. Now, some recommendations on the best way to do it. Thanks.

you aren't listening... you wont find any real badges for your steering wheel unless it's some fake crap. If you're all about faken it have fun.

You know what.. i'm going to do some research and see if there is a way to tie the typeR SRS into the amercan SRS. That SRS light is irritating me

go to ephatch buddy.

one of our vendors there sells the red decals. A good majority of us have them on our steering wheels, including me

they look great, and they are a lot less expensive than 500 bucks!

corsportusa.com has the red vinyl cover for only 6 bucks shipped and you get two so if you mess up on the first one you have another.

I have one on mine and it looks good if you get it on right.
