good news bad news
well I suppose we'll go good news first... today's my birthday, hooray for me...
Now the bad news. I was riding home from class today, stopped at a gas station to put 5 bucks in my tank, went to take off, clutch cable snapped. POOOOOP. so yeah, bike rendered useless till i get a new one. no fun

Okay here is the deal... push start the bike like the ol GP's for the initial launch, jump on like a trick horse rider, then simply time your lights and turns correctly until you can get to a safe place(home, friends house). Shifting while moving doesn't require a clutch in a sequential gearbox. It will actually help you become a better rider by being hyper sensitive to timing, something that is sorely lacking in the new generation of riders for the most part.
Here ya go
1 start bike
2 get along side and run with it until you get moving
3 jump on and pop it into first or second
4 time your lights and stops by riding IN CONTROL so you don't have to come to a complete stop...
5 If you have to come to a stop, calmly pull towards the side of the road and slip it into neutral before stopping and re-initiate from operation #2 onward

it was ok, i just had my stepdad pick me up and we shoved my bike in the back of his avalanche... wasn't no thang
and yeah should be fixed in a timely fashion, just gotta order the new cable from the dealer and then swapping it out is a snap

So you are telling me there are actually people out there who use the clutch other than coming off the line or reeling in the power a little bit?
