A really noob question -- Better Illumination behind the cluster?
Hey guys, i've got a 1995 Integra (no major mods or anything significant -- completely stock) and was wondering if there's anything I can do (as far as maybe putting in different bulbs) to light up my gauge cluster better? The **** is all the way up but its still dim for me. Anyways, any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

you could put some led replacements in to replace the existing bulbs, a lot of people just do it to change the color but if you didnt want the color to change just use white, some of your existing bulbs may be burned out as it is... the cluster is really easy to take out and the bulbs are pretty standard so it would be a painless job
My cluster...

All you need is (3) and you're good to go
I have a write up on the bulb swap in my project thread.

You have to see it in person.
Nobody who has looked in my car has dissed my cluster.
And, as a matter of fact, some of the later model year civics have blue gauge cluster lights and blue lights in all the switches. I had a friend who's civic was like that.

Yeah the DX models (2001+). The EX/Si have amber back lighting and nicer gauge faces.

I've tried the hyper white led bulbs, blue, dark red, and now amber..... out of all of them, the best looking has been the amber color or even the dark red. I only say this because the way the light is distributed makes everything look like it is lit evenly throughout the cluster. The other colored bulbs, especially the LED ones made certain spots brighter and other spots darker (bad light distribution)....as you can see by the pictures posted above. Of course, if the blue bulbs didn't cause the "brighter spots", I'd probably wouldve stuck to that color choice since it matched my head unit and kinda reminded me of the newer vdubs....but I'm just picky like that.
