I don't know if you'll lose a "handful" just because you rode your bike a little bit.
I bought my RC51 with 13k and sold it with 18k for the same price.
RRs are great bikes, and people still want them.
You never said, but i'm assuming your RR is an 04. You may have a hard time getting 5800 for it just because people can get 05+ RRs for about that much now that the 07s are here. But, put it in craigslist for 5900 OBO and see what happens.

bike is clean, and it's summertime, which means the suckers abound on CL.
6000 seems realistic given the market. i wouldn't pay that much, but someone else will.

Id say theres a *** for every seat I watched this *** this weekend buy a 03 rr 9200 miles for 6000 on the spot I say 6000 an if your willing to do 5500 that will give you some room to play with
