11.0@137 street D
Qualified #3 with an 11.05@137 for the local Import Day quick 8 heads-up class. Got knocked out in the 2nd round to a 2.3liter all-wheel drive talon. A couple extra psi really did it for the mph from last week.
And nothing broke, very good day.
You guys have any tips for a novice to get off the line better on an unprepped track?

Sweet man! I wish I could have made it to the track. The tires look like they have a lot of air in them...
Are you using a 2 step or antilag at the line?

137 not bad at all,if u could rip a 1.6 or 1.7 60ft u def will get her in the tens. just keep on playing with the launch rpm and shift points to u get it perfect.

9psi. I tried em at 10, 9 and 8, lowering the pressure didn't seem to make any difference at all. So I didn't bother trying any lower.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Dont think a 1.6 will be possible at the local tracks, prep isn't very good. The only 1.7 launch I had it snapped both axles in 3rd gear.

Josh brought that up yesterday. I didn't even give it any thought, like to know where it ranks. (not that it's important or anything)

wow thats cool!!
my mate drives one of these civics as a daily, 1300cc hehe.
thats soem aweosme top end, you must be loosing lots of time in 2nd gear or something cos i did a 11.0 with a 1.8 60ft and i only cross the line at 130mph

I think you hit the nail on the head there. Found a couple vids that seem to support your theory. I'll try to post em up later.

very nice times!! i agree with whoever said those slicks look like that have way to much air in them! i run mine around 6-7psi and cut low 1.7 60's....try lowering your launch rpm, i thought i read on another forum that you launch really really high....my best results were around 6200...i was running 6800 and only getting mid 1.85 60's dropped the 2 step to 6200 (same tire pressure) and went 1.72's all night.
i suggest lowering your launch rpm and lowering your slick psi get it to hook and not spin and youll see good 60's
good luck, i want to see that **** runnin 10.6's!!
