Alternator problem or bad ground?
My battery gets drained after an hour of driving. The motor doesnt completely die while running but my a/c compressor shuts off(and doesnt go back on), the speedo needle starts jumping and my panel lights dim. When i get home i check the battery and see that it needs to be charged.
The battery does not get drained as long as i dont start/use the car.
Alternator problem or bad ground? What could it be?

why don't you check the alternator and see if its charging the battery or not. The problem you listed is pointing in that direction. Its up to you to test it. Pull the positive clamp pf the battery while the car is started. If it dies right away its the alternator. Hold a dvm meter to check the output of the alternator. If its under 13 volts Replace it or go have it tested. Also make sure the belt is on tight.
I havent had the time to take the alternator tested.
The battery light does not come on.
The car does not die if i pull out the battery clamp.

first not all the time is the battery light going to come on if the alternator is dead. Do you have a digital volt meter? Can you unplug it and find out how much voltage it is putting out.
alternator!!!, sounds like it, dude trust me man i had the same problem for like a month long went thought like 2 battery and 2 diff. alternator, all cause of honda giving me the wrong belt!!!

I think its fixed.
I was checking the alternator and noticed that the ground was not bolted down tight. I tightened it and started the car to let it idle for a few mins with all accessories on. I tested to see if the battery was drained and it wasnt, which would have before.
I dont have a volt meter to check my alt so im using my battery charger to confirm.
I hope this fixes it but Lets see once i start using the car again.
