Battery Keeps on Draining
I donno why.. Theres something draining my battery and I dont know whether the alternator isnt charging it or maybe theres a loose ground? When I get my battery charged at autozone and throw it in the car it starts right away. Then slowly over days it cranks slow when my battery is about to die. Then Im stranded somewhere for the 7th time! Anyone have same problem?

Re: Battery Keeps on Draining (-Gambit-)
alternator eh? hrmmm... I actually brought my alternator to autozone one time and had it checked in their tool thingy. it says pass. Then the guy brought out a rolling cart and hooked it up to my alternator and battery while the car was running. he says its a lil below average but maybe I just need to ground more wires.

could be either. Check the alternator ground. If you want, add another then go get it checked but I think your alt. is bad

Also search for a battery drain, a poorly wired gauge, stereo etc could do that.
You also could just be leaving your lights on and not know it

Re: Battery Keeps on Draining (***$nyper)
well I remember checking my radio fuse under the hood.. standard fuse is 7.5 but when I pulled it out it was 15! so I was like wow thats alot and then I took out the 15 and put a standard 7.5 in... after that it went down hill.. could be coinsedence but after I replaced it back but this time to a 10 just in case.. dont know if my battery will drain yet will see..

can I use an ls alternator? or do I have to use a gsr? because I have a gsr.. or does any b series alternator work?

check alternator output, 13.5-14.5v out.
put your dmm on a/c voltage and see what it reads, if it reads more than .1 or .2 the diods might have problems keeping straight DC output.
then when the car is in its "off state" use your DMM on amps to see the parasitic drain, very easy ****.

All b-series alternators are the same.
This happened to my sisters car once and it happened to be that her amp never turned off so it would drain the battery. Just an idea.

what is the dmm? I have a voltage meter.
