Default question about my 89 si?

i really new to this site, ive been to a site like this one, but all ive been geting is mix answer on my questions. i just did to a b18a1 swap. my self. wasn't as hard as i thought it would be, but all i do is work on hondas. i love the power that i got from the swap. its great. i didnt think i would get as much as i did.

but now i want a little more. i want to try and keep it old skool, and not use the vtec motors, at least for right now. im wanting to put a turbo on the car.

that where my i need help. i know lots about working on motors, but nothing about what turbo and ect. what i want to know is what do i need to do to not blow the car up. i want to try and get 10-15 psi out of it, but i dont want to blow the motor up, if i have to rebuild the motor so i dont thats fine but i need to know what type of part to get. here a list of what i need help on knowing.

1 which turbo,
2 fuel/ if anything and everything,
3 besides P&P what needs to be done on the head
4 r there any interal part the need to be done
if there anything else i may need to know let me know, i really need to find out everything i can about turboing this motor.

You should check out the forced induction section of this site. There is tons of helpful information that will get started on turbocharging your motor.

</TD></TR></TABLE> its all about the tuning and the maintence. Any motor can be boosted, but to keep it maintained is the big factor, also depends on duration / stress put on the motor. Read the Forced Induction Forum Faq and if you are serious about boosting read Maximum boost by Corky Bell, it teaches you stuff you dont find on HT

One weak spot in the LS motor is the rod bolts....switch em out with ARP, not much info but it's a start
