trying to help a friend on any diagnostics on figuring out why the car is not starting...i dunno what kind of turbo but all i know is that it has a turbo and running on a p28 chipped for turbo...(eg hatchie) what do yall think it might be..? just looking for ideas on where to start...searched already..i see u typing it ...

check the basics- fuel, air and spark. figure out whats missing and go from there.

 

did he just install the turbo kit and it is not starting now?

just started acting up. it ran fine.

 

as mentioned above man just check that there's air/fuel, spark, and compression...

Once you have a ball park idea of what's not working or some better descriptions of what's going on then maybe someone can help you...

But "why won't my buddies turbo car start?" isn't exactly an answerable question besides... "there's something wrong with it".

Is there power?
Does it make any noises when you try to start it?
Does it crank the engine?
etc etc etc.

 

Seriously some more info is needed for this. It could be that his battery is dead.

If you really cant explain it by typing then make a video of what it does while you try to start it and post it and we could help you better.

 

i would check spark first if it was running then started acting up and now wont start. either coil or ICM could cause that.

 

there's spark, fuel pump primed...maybe main relay is out? no second click when turned to red...?
