cool. i took the rear out today cause we started the sump system & it was in the way of what i wanted to do. tomorrow the front is gone as well.
tony. what were some tricks u did to get the last bit of weight out to make 2400?
or are u above a little.
ive took everything i could think of so far.
thinking about taking the engine harness of & main harness & striping them down 2 the minimal, cause i dont know where else to get the weight.
i last weighted in at 2524.

I'm at 2450 with me in it, but i'm about 200lbs. Art's car has ballast to get it up to 2400lbs, but he's like 75lbs.
As far as what was done, nothing special. If it's not needed, it's not on the car. Carbon sunroof plug, carbon hood, that's about it. Still has a stock steel hatch, no steel has been cut. Really just unbolting everything that's not needed. Oh, i did switch to rear drum brakes, they were 8lbs lighter. 8lbs here, 6lbs there, it all adds up in the end.

I still have disks on the rear..
With me in my car, 1/2 tank of gas, 40lbs of ballast I am around 2405-2425lbs, depending on where the track is and how off the scales are. I weight in at 144lbs with 15% body fat...lol

none hear as well, i just removed about everything i could without cutting. i did alot of spot weld removal for the seat belts and any and every bolt you can take out if you dont need it. those bolts are heavy when you get up there. all the seat brakets are gone, rear hatch, hood replaced with carbon/fiberglass..stuff like that.
note: you dont have to use all the bolts to hold your rear bumper together nor you hood, fenders, doors, brakets, lights ect ect.
clean with me in it im at 2350lb and i wieght 200

ive never tried to remove them, but some of the guys i bracket race with, say that one of the sway bars (front or rear i dont remember which)effects the roll out of their cars , These guys are running rear wheel drive race cars, which are totally different suspension styles that what we run... but if removing the sway bars slows the reaction of a rwd vehicle, what would it do to us fwd guys?
