Default What's the lightest EM2 can get?

If an EM2 were to be stripped down and made for track whats the lightest you could get it down too? I've heard you can get the EG down to 2k pounds or so. I know that car is just naturally small and lightweight but is the EM2 as heavy as I think it is or is it just my imagination. I know stock EM2 weight in the upper 2k pounds stock.

Upper 2000's? an EX is 2560. A DX with no AC is in the 2300s... I'm sure if you yanked most of the interior, the PS, some excess metal (crash bars, hood webbing, dash supports, etc...) you can cut 200 lbs off it. Most of the car's weight went to stiffening it up.... and thats all weight you wont be able to lose.

Which would be what? That you don't know what GVWR means?

Read up: http://www.pc.gov.bc.ca/cmg/newweb/GVW.htm

you shouldve let him believe his car weighed that much then let him post up a thread titled "YOU GUYS DIDNT THINK I COULD DO IT BUT I GOT MY EX FROM 3460lbs to 2300lbs!!"

and on a side note, do you really think a car with 127hp would even be able to keep up with traffic with that type of weight?

It depends on what you're willing to sacrifice. I'm sure that if you have no desire for fenders, a hood, or a trunk lid, you could see 2000 lbs.

i think the easiest and best thing to do is run on 2 gallons of fuel instead of 13 gallons, there's like 90lbs saved right there!
