Intake Manifold.
I have a 1.6 lsi coupe
Just was down the garage...
was told by a chap that I can replace my standard Intake Manifold with an manifold from a ESI... which would improve my vehicle BHP... is that true?

I believe your from the U.K? Im from the U.K too, yeh can replace the Intake manifold from a ESI model into the LSI model, but however i would recommend not to do that, you better of geting a aftermarket manifold 4-2-1 manifold.
Dnt forget the ESI manifold is stock, you wnt see much gains.

He is asking about an "Intake manifold" not exhaust manifold

it says right in the thread title "intake Manifold"
and i have no idea about any of those models... what kind of engine does it have... that would help alot more.

here in the U.K LSI and ESI or DX civics are different models, DX=1.3 LSI=1.5 and ESI is the 1.6 model.
This guy says he has the 1.6 coupe lsi, so therefore i beleive its a D16 series engine.

being a d16 is good and all, but we need to know if it's a y7 or a y8,
I'm guess it's a y7 with the vertical plenum, and he's looking to upgrade to the y8/zc horizontal plenum. It's a worthwhile upgrade. I'm looking forward to doing the cheap mod myself. (provided I'm talking about the right thing)

If you have the vertical im the horizontal manifold just flows better/more efficient.
