i was driving my car today and out of nowhere it wouldnt go past 4k rpms and started running really rich. I think its the map sensor but im not sure.

 

is it throwing any codes?

i cant help you,but you should still give some more info,like what moter you have.

 

i havnt got to check yet i think its the map sensor because on my old car the vaccum line came off the map sensor and it started running rich but it didnt rev out at 4 grand and when i unplug my map sensor while the car is running it doesnt do anything and it should affect it if it was working

 

i have a d16y8 motor and i just put a Skunk2 pro series intake manifold on it.

my check engine light isnt on but i think the kid that had the car b4 me took the bulb out cuz i dont hav an O2 sensor and its not on

When you get in the car and turn the key 2 clicks, the CEL should come on for a couple of seconds and then go out. This is how you can verify it works.

If you dont have a bulb in there... well I think the next step is pretty obvious, no?
