Passenger seat problem

I think the reclining mechanism on the passenger seat is on the fritz
The seat usually folds forward and automatically slides toward the dash when you pull the side lever to let people in and out of the back seat.
recently, it stopped doing that and I would have to slide the seat manually forward after folding it down first.
Anyone know how i can fix this problem?

Did you try hitting the top of it with your fist? Always works on TV when something is "on the fritz."
Seriously though. Just do a bit of investigation. try to figure out whats stopping it from sliding forward. Take the seat out and see if anything is jammed in there.......change is a fairly common culprit. Its not hard, just takes a very small amount of effort to figure out most problems with your car.

ok, took out the seat and inspected it
the problem was the cable that moves the seat forward by pulling on the side lever dropped out of the cable bracket, popped it back in and works just like new
