Default ignition coil

i installed my 2 subs and when i went to turn on my car my check engine light i went on and i cranked it anyways but nothing happened it turned but did not start im sure that theres fuel so i took off my wires to see if there was spark and there was nothing so i took of my distributor cap and i saw that my ignition coil was cracked took it off and saw that it had more cracks is that bad? i also tried to check it with the omh meter but it gave me .002 and im not sure if im doing it right you just have to take the ohm ends and put them on the + and - terminal right.
90 crx w/b16 and 0db0 ECU
thanks

if your cap rotor or coil are cracked replace them. thats a good starting point.

If its cracked, dont bother trying to see if its still any good. Electricity will take the path of least resistance, and if thats out of the crack in the coil to someplace else, it will. Toss it and get another. I bet ur subs caused the coil to shatter

It's hard to kill a coil, yeah, but you can get a brand new distributor for like 200 from Distributor King just in case you're willing to consider them.

look under the passenger side carpet to see if the ecu is blinking. if it has a solid red light on it then its bad. you check it by turning the car to the on position so everything powers in the car. then it should blink once, then pause, and then if you have a code it will blink more. count the number of blinks and thats your code. check the coil wire. or wireing going to it. and check the new coil. just because its new dosent mean its good
