On my last track day, the rubber thing which around the round wheel was broken, i think it called the wheel inner something.. anybody taking that off,,. my friend told me to buy a new one becasue if the water go into the inner door, it will casue the rust.. so..... i dont know any suggestions... THANK U

 

i'd replace it.

 

Unless you have your car on a serious diet I'd advise keeping them in.

When i got my new rims the sales man said make sure u keep them in

 

I tore one out at an autocross about a year ago, and I ran without one for several months (rust really isn't an issue in AZ). I had dirt and gravel EVERYWHERE. The tire would spray crap into the engine bay, behind the door, all over. It's a real pain. Might as well get a new one.
