Default EJ8 - Topic: ECU

in my 98 civic, i have I/H/E .. S2 Intake Manifold, B16 Throttle Body .. umm, i have a head on the way to rebuild, now i know i gotta get it retuned to run that, now i was gonna go with a p28 and convert to obd1 .. would i be able to do this before i get the head on? .. if the p28 is chipped will this help me out any?

Pleae don't tell me you're going n/a on a d-series.



Wait until you get it all assembled and running before you chip/tune anything, can't tune a motor that doesn't run.

no but im gonna build some of it before i turbo it .. so dont get a p28 .. and get a basemap

Get the P28, yor going to need it anyway...just wait till it is built to chip and tune it. No reasonto tune an unbuilt car

Yes. I didn't say don't get the p28. just wait till it's all ready to be put togther. You're not saving any vast amount of time by doing any of it before you get your head back.

If you get the ecu, you could swing by and get the chip installed it you need someting to do. but A tuner will laugh at you if you take just your ecu and tell him to install crome and a rich fuel map.
