what sensor is this

Default what sensor is this

i have a 96 gsr in my civic and there is a sensor directly under my im and it is not connected is this my knock sensor

knock or oil pressure oil is right by your filter knock is over a bit

Really? What code would he throw?

There are not that many sensors on the GSR motor under the IM. There is the IAB which is part of a black box looking thing. There is the knock sensor, which is typically a green sensor above your water pipe, the oil pressure sensor which controls the oil light in your cluster. It's typically a 1 prong sensor. You've also got your radiator fan temp switch in your thermostat housing. And then if you have power steering there is a sensor in your power steering line.

The only sensors that will throw a code are the Power Steering Pressure Switch and the Knock Sensor.

Also, since its a '96 motor, there should be a Crank Fluctuation Sensor mounted on your oil pump housing. The connector typically sits near the timing cover. You will throw a code for this if you're running an OBD2 ECU.
