rear mount question - 5th gen - searched
i have a 95 ex and i just installed the prothane front mount. but the rear insert does not fit. i searched and found that the ex rear mount is different.
then i looked for dx/lx rear mounts and the insert looks right for that mount obviously, but it only has three holes whereas the ex rear mount has four holes. it doesn't look like it will line up.
how can i use the dx/lx rear mount on my 95 ex?? also are the brackets same, interchangeable??
any help?? thanks

yeah, I noticed this as well when I put the mount inserts on my 95 EX years ago. I just figured the rear mount inserts were for the LX or DX mounts but never looked into it any further, just left it with just the front mount insert.
When I hit a curb and had to replace the rear beam of the front subframe (part that the rear motor mount bolts to), the one I got from the junkyard was from an automatic and the rear mount was only held in by 3 bolts. But the other tapped hole was there for the four bolt design of the EX rear mount. So I'm pretty sure the rear subframe is the same across all models of the 94-97 Accords, you just use either 3 or 4 of the 4 tapped holes for the rear mount. I don't remember which hole wasn't being used but just play around with it and you should be able to figure out which 3 you need to use.
As for the bracket that mounts to the engine and the rear mount, I think you'll need the matching bracket for the mount. I believe I read somewhere that this was needed when switching to a different models rear mount.
