SSR Race Header
Just thought i would tell you about the experience of buying the header. Installation of the header was quite simple on the other hand getting the old one out was alittle difficult , the total time took about 3 hours. Problem getting the stock header out didn't fit through the space provided so my dad said we had to drop the i don't know if you would consider it the chassis support or engine support but 5 or 6 bolts gave us some more space. Sound wise i think it sounds quieter during idle than stock but around 3k rpms and up also at Vtec sounds great! Power gains i noticed in 1st gear i think it pulls alittle harder and at low rpms in a high gear seems to have better acceleration. I also installed the test pipe they gave me a spark plug defouler for the o2 censor and i had no check engine light. But i guess other than that i am happy with my purchase. What did everyone else think of it that got one?

SSR header is top notch as well as the hytech production header. What does the header being buddy club have anything to do with it being good, it's alright but nothing compared to a ssr.

SSR > buddy club
andy weren't you the one that bought an exhasut system from ebay?
anyways, the header is definately felt in the low and midrange rpms than the stock one. felt it right away when i first got it installed. vtec also seems like it pulls a lot harder too. waiting to put my new clutch in and breaking it in before i redyno it to see what #s it has over stock. overall, very satisfied with the header.

Bummer.
Oh well. I don't get to experience mine for a few more weeks so I'm just enjoying it vicariously through the experiences of others. Thanks btw.

If I wasn't moving, I'd have a SSR header
. Freaking moving costs are killing me.
And to all the "Buddy Club y0!" guys, while I don't think you'd be unhappy with a Buddy Club header, I think the longevity and quality you'd get out of the SSR header would far far far surpass BC. But, do what you think is right for your cars! That's what counts, right? Following the crowd isn't.

Yes, Sadly I am the one who bought an exhaust system off of egay, I learned my lesson but hey it was a piece of crap. As far a Buddy Club yes it's JDM mad tight and I do like them because it is a nice well put headder as far *** SSR goes I don't know them and I don't know their reputation. Buddy Club I do know and they come correct.
You say tomato and I say JDM yo!!! Enjoy your SSR headder , god bless

I'm looking to get a SSR header too. Problem is, i'm in Singapore and so far mailed them but no reply. I'm driving a JDM Civic Si (FD) but i've seen pics of the stock USDM header and they're the same. Mine is a sedan tho so exhaust layout shd be a little different.
