Default big_t's 1991 crx si project thread! vary nice

hey guys my name is Travis and i just recently made the conversion from 2 240sx's to my new crx. i needed something reliable to get to college so i ditched the 240sx and picked up this crx for 2700. i needs a lil work (oil leak, need bumper lenses, ect.) but it has a ls swap with normal bolt ons and it lowered on sleeve coil overs. plans are to first get it in tip top shape and the rest of my plan will be a secret until i update this thread.

here is a few pics i snapped when i first got it.

ill post my pics after i clean her up

the bumper lights dont have any lenses in them (need to get some asap)! i just ordered a morso battery box since the previous owner had a ghetto wood box. thanks for the welcome guys. the only rust on the hole car is the rear quarter which isnt even all the way through . i guess ill ask my question on my thread. the shifter has alot of paly when im driving. if i let off the gas the shifter will move downward and while in gear if i move the shifter from side to side it is also very loose. any ideas?

also, you probably dont have the spring pin that connects the shift linkage to the tranny. its called the "bitch pin".

mine does that right now, since i just did an auto to manual swap in my 91 hatch, and didnt have an extra pin, so i used a 12mm bolt. sometimes i forget what gear im in, because the shifter has so much play

As for bushings It IIRC you need ENS-16-1101R (summitracing part #) so one for a 99-00 Si, GSR, ITR, it's all the same part. The CRX one will have a D-Series trans bushing which won't fit.
Before I got new bushings I'd check the linkage out though, it could need the little rubber bushings between the shifter itself and the linkage, the bitch pin could be replaced with a bolt as previously stated, it could be alot of things. Allthough regardless the ES bushings will make things nicer.

I had 2 Integras with the "loose shifter" Its more than likely one of 2 things, the ES bushings will help but not solve the problem...either the "U" joint is bad on the end of the linkage(or a bolt was used instead of the bitch pin) or the more likely problem is the bushing on the bottom of the shifter itself is loose...just grab a new shifter or short shifter and you'll be good to go...

Oh nice rex I love HX/VX wheels!!
