Default Broken Injector

I broke the tip on the injector of my d16a6, it's the little hard plastic, or ceramic piece, whatever the material is. Though I have obd0 b16a injectors, can I use those as replacements, or are they not suitable for the d16? Will I have to get an original replacement?

the plastic piece is just a cover and really does nothing. so don't worriy about it or use the b16's i think they are both 240cc.

Oh really? I thought maybe the provided some sort of seal. If not then cool, it actually fell about 1 foot from the ground and that's how it broke. Did the impact by chance damage it any more than just superficially?

Tat cap does nothing but prevent the pintle from being damaged when they happed to "fall about 1 foot from the ground" LOL.
Seriously, on those injectors a pintle cap does nothing. Some injectors the do serve a function like holding an o-ring in place but not on yours.

ok cool thanks. Yeah I heard about being able to replace them too. Is it worth it? Maybe I'll just stick it back in there and call it good

Thanks everyone!

whether or not its worth it is up to you. if it was me i would replace it because you dropped it once and could possibly drop it again and without that cap you could possibly damage the injector this time

You can fit any B series and D series injector just fine too. They all flow 240CC so it will run fine.

u can use b16 ones. The pintle cap has to do with spray pattern. but they will work without them if you have none. I have an extra set of freshly cleaned ones with no caps if you find some caps you can have them. I used to sonicly clean them at an old job and the caps on these were broken. the b16 ones will work.

No, just make sure none of the plastic is loose on the broken one. They will all work the same.
