Default Rear Bars... All 3.

Just wanted an opinion on rear strut bars / tie bars.

Would you rather:

Spend $35 and upgrade to an APC (i know, pork fried) double braced rear upper strut bar:

OR

Spend $45 and upgrade to generic rear upper strut AND lower tie bars:

Not sure on the effectiveness of EITHER of the 3, but would like some input on where to invest my money.

Running 17x7 +40 wheels, 205/40/17 tires, Tokico D-Spec struts, Skunk2 coilovers, DC CS-2 front strut bar.

I'm also thinking about upgrading my rear sway to either:

Used RSX-base (19mm) for about $50
-or-
Brand new RSX-R (22mm) for $70

Again, opinions needed.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen.

All of those bars look like they'll either rust in 2 months, bend in 2 months, or break in 2 months. They don't look like they're worth anything at all.

I'd do the swaybar mate, those braces look pretty toss to me.

those rear strut braces are worthless, the chassis near the struts is already rigid and a brace would be purely for looks only. now the sway is a diffrent story....

the trunk of the car is flat so basically the frame is a strut and the bar wouldnt really help. and it looks flimsy.. dont go generic. if anything upgrade the rear sway and thats all you really need... besides front strut and underbrace

Isn't there some mechanical advantage to even the lower tie bar? Doesn't Carbing make one?..

i would not buy any tie bars like that dont look very strong go with the name brand stuff some people will say rear lower tie bars dont do jack other people say they do a great deal. my opinion i think it depends on the aplication some cars are already preaty beefy back there and wount gain any thing from tie bars other cars it would make it more stiff, stronger

should i go with a USED RSX-base 19mm Sway for $50 or a BRAND NEW RSX-R(ITR) 22mm Sway for $70?

Do you guys think the extra 3mm (and new crispiness) of the RSX-R sway is worth spending an extra $20?

its definately worth having the thicker 22mm RSX-R bar.

i've actually had the 19mm also, and i must say the 22mm made a greater difference in handling.
