K well if you dont know my problem here it is

So my question is...can i run my engine without the conversion harness and p28 ecu?
I KNOW vtec wont work etc, i just wanna get everything hooked up and run then when i get my new CORRECTharness i will put it in with the right ecu. It will be in a 97LS with a b16a2 head. Im running in a time constrant so thats why i am needing to know this. Thanks
