shaved side moldings.. (need advice what to do)...

Default shaved side moldings.. (need advice what to do)...

ok this is the deal.. i got my eg with shaved moldings and now i want to chissle this **** out (bondo).. but is it even goina chissle out? or am i just goina mess up my doors.. i found this sidmouldings that i wanna put back on my car.. im not worried bout messing up the paint.. ill re spray it.. im just wondering if i should just get new doors or get down and chissle it out.. i just dont know .. (plus that bondo has to way at least 100lbs.. what the point?.. anyways any advice would help..thanx

o ya.. and i have a dx hatch .. so i can take the door pannels off and hammer through the exhisting moulding wholes.. i just need some help if someone has messed around with bondo and knows how that stuff works

my friend has this 88 ef he got from his buddy and the other fool had tried to shave the moldings with bondo. looked like ****. well he removed all of it using a chisel and air craft remover. worked out perfect

he meant "Aircraft paint remover"

It's a heavy duty acid for removing paint.

Use gloves, it will eat your skin.

it's good stuff, even with latex gloves on your hands will turn a litle numb. But it's not biggie.

You're hands will itch and turn red WAYY before it really damages your skin. If it get's to the point where real damage is being done you didn't have any nerves in your hands to begin with.

If it hurts, wash your hands, plain and simple.

sorry yeah thats what i meant. itll eat through pretty much anything. he used that stuff for the most part because if he hadnt, he would have most likely left ding in the metal.

they sell it amost anywhere. like walmart, autozone, kragen, or other auto part stores. it will make it really soft
