First day riding legally
Well, I finally got some temp tags and insurance so today was my first day of leaving my neighborhood. I only rode for about 10 miles, I went to a office complex to practice I wanted to take it slow so I don't push my limits, there were a few cars there too. I need a lot of practice, forgot to check blind spots, when stopped at a light I stopped in the middle of the lane a few times. I am not looking throughout the turns it seems like and I apply a little brake while turning
. I just wanted to share with you guys

Thank god you didn't drop the bike 3 times. Good start!
yuuup, practice makes perfect. Oh and watch out for target fixation. I had a little problem with that before, almost sideswiped a car once.

lol, quick question. Does anyone ride with prescription glasses on? My shield doesn't fog but my glasses do, I was thinking about tying a bandanna around my mouth to deflect my breathing.

i normally ride with contacts but when i have to wear my glasses theyll fog up a little. if your helmet has a breath gaurd, use that. Other than that, just breath downward lol. once it gets cold, youll be come a master at it.
Sounds like youre doin all the right things. Im from Frederick area so when I get back from college ill be settin some rides up.
Keep up the practice and take your time

Be careful with that "little brake while turning". If you get cut off or make a panic stop and lock them up, you'll fall quick, fast, and in a hurry. Stay safe and have fun.
