Need help ASAP, before I head to the shop in the morning! *pics*
Ok, yesterday I cleaned the engine bay. So my bro was helping with the degreasing part of the block, well while I'm going to turn on the hose to rinse it off I come back and he has one of the spark plug cables out and is cleaning something. I tell him not to worry about it and he pushes it back in and we go about our business and I hose it off. Well I take it to a dinner and pop the hood to show someone the clean engine bay and a black "substance" has shot from that same plug up onto the underside of the hood, and is leaking a bit around the plug. Well I bark at my bro a bit. Well let me know what you think, here are some pictures.

LOL, that "black substance" is definately motor oil alec.
It just needs to be pushed all the way down and cleaned out.

How did the car run, poorly, studdering? I don't think your brother forgot to put the wire on, I think the spark plug is loose or broken and the compression blew the wire off and sprayed that oil onto the cover. The only way for oil to shoot up on your valve cover like that is if you have a worn tube seal leaking oil into the tube and a loose or broken spark plug causing the compression to blow the oil up and out. At least that is what COULD cause that.
How is pushing the spark plug wire on going to prevent oil from being in the plug tube?
Put a socket on that spark plug and see if it is loose or broken and replace your tube seal.

Thats not oil, it would have spread out more on the valve cover. (If youve ever seen a vavle cover gasket leak oil, youll know what i mean - the area around it gets darker). It looks like dirty *** water.
