I want to replace the spark plugs in my 98 ex. is it as easy as just takin out the old ones and puttin in the new ones? ive read about "gapping" them, what does that actually mean.
It's pretty damn easy. Just pull them out with the correct spark plug socket, a racket and a small extension.. DOUBLE CHECK which way the racket is set to go.. If you tighten when you're trying to loosen the spark plugs you can strip them out and that's a bad thing cause it's a bitch to rethread them.
Gapping refers to a spark plug's gap, the distance from the plug to the tip of electrode. Most plugs are already gapped, and you can buy like a 50 cent gapper at an auto store to make sure they're good to go.
