Ive had H&R sports ( similar drop to the s-techs) on my OEM struts for about a year and a half now. The ride is less than thrilling but does the job if your not into any serious racing.
I believe my rear's have finally blown, but i cant really tell and havent bothered to check, luckily for me I only need the car for a month more then i get my Tacoma.

Bud, it's just safer to swap them when you swap the springs. My sister's shocks/struts blew out only after a month of use with the new springs. So, there's no telling how long his would last.

spend the extra and get some coilovers. worth every dollar. Installed a set of tein basics thursday night and i love the right and the right hight. Lowered about 2 inches and it rides great. Only complaint is they pop and make noises when i first start the car up and drive it. goes away after a few minutes. was told will go away ina 2 weeks or so.
i have those springs on my em2, with tokico adjustables, havent had a problem yet....i know for a fact that the em2's front struts are very weak, i have replaced alot of them at my work

you cant go wrong with blues.....i have the nuespeed sport springs with blues and it rides wonderful. My blues make it so I cant even tell that my car is on when I am not moving. The only problem is that I had to drimel out the holes alittle bigger on the front shocks to make the stock bolts fit.
