Somehow I got stuck cleaning the engine bay

We all know red adds horsepower!

The only issue with the bar is that it does not provide enough support. The body will still flex atthe firewall. But better than nothing. Besides the R will protect the car

After thinking about it more. This was just not the way to go. Wheel choice would be limited by offset, R tires were that much more, gearing loss (this was the killer) so we opted for the next box.
(plus the 2 sets of 16" Type R wheels.. umm didn't fit -
)

Much better

from what I have been told... 16" jdm R's (im assuming those are the wheels you were referring to) do not fit without spacers on Spoon calipers either. Is that the only reason they didnt fit with the Wilwoods?
As for the spoons no issues in fitment (15" or 16") though very tight clearence. You may have an issue with the monoblock spoons.
The Wilwoods (assumed correct) would need a spacer to be safe.
