hey my maintenance required light just turned red yesterday. does that mean i need a maintenace check?

It works like an odometer, spinning around with your miles
As long as you are up to date with oil and other general things, youre probably fine. If youre at like 100k and have never changed the water pump/timing belt, you may want to consider that.
Otherwise, just stick youre key in the reset slot and it will turn green again

it's a button embedded in your cluster that has a half moon shape on the end justting through the clear plastic.

Take your key and hit it.
