Default Speed sensor hooked up and working but throwing a code 17 for VSS???

My car was throwing 3 codes... a code 1,41,and 17. My car is a 92 VX hatch with an OBD-1 B18B1 and B16 tranny. I used an automatic LS harness and repinned the vx tower plug so that it reads the ECU signal.

I reset the ECU and it no longer throws a code 1. I didn't change the o2 sensor yet but I will be doing that tomorrow. But it throws a code 17 which is for the VSS. My speedometer works fine and everything is plugged in right. I was wondering why it's throwing a code for the VSS when it's functioning properly???

Bump. I'm having the same problem. I just changed the o2 sensor out along with brand new header and still getting VSS error. The vtec is still not engaging!

All my fuses are good. I'm changing my exhaust here in about a half an hour and putting the new o2 sensor in. I'll update if it works... but until then who has any ideas?

Changed my o2 sensor and took the battery cable off for about an hour while I went and got some ice cream... hooked the battery cable back up and hell yeah no more codes.
