Default Hood molding clip??

I'm almost positive this has been covered, but I searched and couldn't find anything.
Anyway, I'm taking my hood molding off to paint it (I have an LX so it's ugly and silver.) I remove the 4 bolts, and go to take it off, but it seems like there is a clip or something holding it in the middle. How would I go about getting the hood molding off?

There might be some 3M tape holding it on.

Looks like some kind of clip is holding it on. I guess I'll fiddle around with it when I get home, if it isn't raining..

you got the little 10mm screws out? black ones? it should wiggle itself out now, there's nothing else holding it in except maybe dirt...

Yeah, I got the 4 little bolts out. I'll check it out when I get home.
Should I paint it black or silver? Which would look better ya'll think?

On the 01-03 coupes they should already be color matched. Eh, if your car is silver and the trim piece is silver, what's the problem?

Not sure if there is even that trim piece on the 04-05.

Anyways, there is a plastic clip holding the middle on. You need to get in there with a very small screwdriver and disengage the locking tabs. It's tricky but doable.
