Default d17 non vtec header

Why do they have to be so hard to find? How much different is an EX header that it wont work on a DX or will it?

i know the cat placement is different and piping length or whatev, but is the flange that bolts to the head any different?

for instance, would a turbo manifold for an lx fit an ex?

Flanges and bolt pattern are the same.

The mounting points on the flange are identical.

And, the answer to your question is yes.

well, while this topic is up. im pretty sure i can find an EX header easilly. but is there any differnt options i can get as for a high performance header that fits in my non Vtec? i got a SOHC Vtec head and im saving up for the controller. eventually i need to find a Vtec valve cover.

but back to my question. i gues im just converting my LX to an EX considering i got it for a sweet price i dont mind. (5k for my 2dr LX milano red with a mexican looking shift ****. 42k miles when i baught it)

what are my options for a new header? or will i have to go with a EX header? i also plan on getting a new cat back exhaust system as well ^_^ i just want to know what my choices are

Occaisionally you can see one pop up on ebay. They arent a name brand or anything, and i have no idea of the quality. But they exist.

What do you mean by "high performance"? Regardless of where you get it, the header won't give you more than 4whp, and that's so minuscule it's considered negligible hp.

youd have to buy a hi flow cat for the ex if you wanted an ex cat back if your gonna do exhaust then go with the ex from the header to the muffler
